How does it work?
Infrared Heat heats the objects and people around you as opposed to conventional heaters which just heat the air. The surface of the panel can reach as high as 110˚C but they can be mounted up high on a wall or if you want, on a ceiling too. You can find out more about infrared here.
Classic Panels can be utilised on their own or integrated with third-party systems. They can be hardwired together, to control multiple heaters together. To meet your needs, you can add a full WIFI-controlled system, a timer switch, or a wall-mounted thermostat controller (see our full control range or call us on 0116 350 0222 to discuss possible options) or you could purchase a panel with a WIFI built-in system.
What are infrared panels?
Infrared panels are heating systems that use infrared radiation to directly heat objects and people in a room, rather than heating the air like traditional heating systems. They are often installed on walls or ceilings and emit gentle, comfortable warmth that is similar to the feeling of being in sunlight.
How do infrared panels work?
Infrared panels emit infrared radiation, which is absorbed by objects and surfaces in their path. These objects then emit heat, warming up the surrounding space. Unlike conventional heating systems, which heat the air and can result in heat loss through drafts, infrared panels provide targeted, efficient heating.
Are infrared panels safe?
Yes, infrared panels are generally safe to use. They operate at lower temperatures compared to some other heating systems, reducing the risk of burns or fire hazards. Additionally, they do not produce any harmful emissions or gases, making them a safe and eco-friendly heating option.
How much do they cost to run?
The cost of running infrared panels can vary depending on factors such as the size and power rating of the panels, usage patterns, electricity rates, and location. However, estimating the exact cost requires considering the wattage rating of the panels, the number of hours they run daily, and the local electricity rates.
How do I install infrared panels?
Installation of infrared panels typically involves mounting them securely on walls or ceilings and connecting them to a power source. It's important to follow manufacturer instructions and consider factors such as spacing, positioning, and electrical requirements for safe and effective installation.
