FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions, studio owners ask us.

Is the Yoga Balance Infrared Panel ™ suitable for hot yoga?

Yes. Most hot-class studios run between 28–38°C, and the panel holds that range evenly across the mat area in rooms with standard ceiling heights of 2.4–3m. Because infrared warms bodies and surfaces directly rather than heating the air, the room reaches its target felt temperature faster and with less energy, and there is no fan, no airflow and no drying of the air. For higher ceilings or classes that sit at the very top of the hot yoga range, we often pair panels with our Yoga Balance Infrared Bars — at YOURS Studio London the combined system holds a consistent 38°C.

Which class types suit the panel?

The panel is at its best where heat needs to be even and unobtrusive rather than intense: warm flow and vinyasa, reformer Pilates, mat Pilates, barre, stretch and recovery, and treatment or wellness rooms. Reformer and Pilates spaces typically run at 24–38°C, which sits comfortably within our Yoga Balance Infrared Panel's range. It also suits studios where the interior matters — the panel mounts flush to the ceiling or wall and disappears into the space, leaving walls free for mirrors, reformers and props.

How long should the panels be allowed to warm up?

Infrared begins radiating within moments of switching on, so students feel warmth almost immediately — but the room itself needs time for surfaces, floors and walls to absorb heat and hold it through a class. In practice, studios schedule a pre-heat before the first arrival, then let the system hold temperature between sessions rather than switching off and starting again. The right pre-heat window depends on room volume, insulation and how cold the space starts, and we set it with you during commissioning so it runs automatically around your timetable.

How many panels will my studio need?

It depends on floor area, ceiling height and the temperature your classes run at.  Insulation, glazing and how quickly you need the room up to temperature all shift the calculation, so we size every system from your floor plan rather than selling by the square metre. Send us your studio details and we will produce a wattage and layout plan for your space.

Can the system be zoned and scheduled?

Yes. Using smart wall-mounted controller, each room, hot yoga, hot reformer, physio can run on its own temperature schedule, allowing you to correctly heat the spaces according to class style. You can build seven-day schedules around your timetable manually or via the mobile app. Our system offers multi user access, password protections and many advanced settings.
