FAQ
Good questions - clear answers.
For detailed electrical and installation information, use the Kore Lyte data sheet.
Is Kore Lyte designed specifically for commercial buildings?
Yes. Kore Lyte combines commercial-grade internal components with galvanized steel construction designed to support heavy everyday use in commercial environments.
Which projects is Kore Lyte best suited to?
Buildings where the same panel has to work across many rooms and many tenancies: new-build and refurbishment schemes, housing associations, HMOs and rental properties, social housing and care homes, and offices and flexible workspaces. It is built in commercial-grade galvanized steel for heavy everyday use and fitted with a secure locking bracket, so one specification can be repeated across a whole development. Kore Lyte is available through KIASA Projects rather than online — talk to us with your building and we will size it with you.
Can different rooms be controlled independently?
Yes. Every room is its own heating zone, so a bedroom, a hallway and a living room each hold their own temperature and schedule instead of following one building-wide setting. That is what makes it workable where occupancy changes room by room. Zoning is handled by the KIASA smart control system, and you can see how the parts fit together in the system builder.
What makes Kore Lyte suitable for landlord and tenant properties?
Three things it was designed around. The construction is commercial-grade galvanized steel with a secure locking bracket, so the panel stays where it was fitted. There is nothing for a tenant to maintain — no fan, no moving parts, no visible light, and no annual service. And user controls are configurable, so a landlord or facilities team can set sensible limits while each room still holds its own temperature. See it in a real scheme in the eight-home development in Wales.
Can landlords or facilities managers limit user controls?
Yes. User controls are configurable: you decide how much a tenant or occupant can change, while keeping oversight of the building centrally. In practice that usually means residents adjust comfort within a range you have set, rather than having the whole system open to them. The limits are set through the KIASA smart control system — tell us how you want the building run and we will configure the strategy with you.
Will KIASA help specify the right system?
Yes, and it is the normal way Kore Lyte is bought — there is no online purchase pressure. We start with the building rather than the product: what you are heating, how it is occupied and what the project needs. From there you get system design, panel quantities, layout and a control strategy, plus installation documentation, wiring information and layout advice, and support for your contractors and electricians through to completion. talk to us to start — bring the drawings, or just the room sizes, and we will take it from there.
