What is a hexagon infrared panel heater?
It is an electric radiant heating panel with a six-sided form. Designer Hex warms through infrared radiation while working as a deliberate interior feature.
Which wattage do I need?
The 300W model is guided for approximately 3–4.5m² and the 600W model for 6–9m². These are starting points; insulation, glazing, ceiling height and target temperature must also be considered.
Can the infrared panel be ceiling mounted?
Yes. Designer Hex can be wall mounted, ceiling mounted or suspended using the separately available suspension kit. The fixing method and electrical installation must suit the building.
Does it use a fan or make noise?
No. The panel has no fan or moving parts, so it operates silently.
Can an IP44 infrared panel be used in a bathroom?
IP44 provides protection against splashing water, but bathroom positioning must comply with electrical zones and UK wiring requirements. Ask a qualified electrician to confirm the location before installation.
Technical specification
IP44 means the panel is protected against splashing water and can be installed in Zone 2 of a bathroom — away from the bath or shower itself. It must not be fitted in Zones 0 or 1, and installation must be by a qualified electrician.
