Kiasa Infrared Heating, in collaboration with Your Space and Melin Homes, is playing a key role in the renovation of the historic Pearl Assurance building in Pontypool, Wales. This listed building is undergoing a transformation into 16 high-end one- and two-bedroom apartments. The project director sought sustainable, energy-efficient solutions, making infrared heating the ideal choice.

The Solution
Kiasa Infrared Heating Panels
Each apartment is fitted with Kiasa Infrared (IR) panels, installed on the ceilings to optimize space while providing efficient and comfortable heating. External controls ensure precise temperature management and energy savings. The key benefits include:

Installation Process

- Phase One – APP Electrical fully rewired the building, preparing 16 units with fused spurs for seamless infrared panel installation.
- Phase Two – The Kiasa IR panels were clipped into place, and relays were installed to connect each unit’s thermostat. Each flat took approximately four hours to complete, ensuring a quick and efficient setup.
