Plan and Expand Brings Infrared Heating to a Modern Bristol Home

A Two-Storey Home Expansion with Kiasa EKO Infrared Panels

When Adrian began a two-storey expansion project on his home in Audley, Bristol, he knew one thing for certain: he wanted to move away from oil heating and bulky radiators. Working with long-time installer Ian Payne, founder of Plan and Expand, Adrian explored a new approach—infrared heating.

Having already tested a couple of Kiasa panels in his home, Adrian was impressed enough to commit to installing Kiasa’s EKO Infrared Panels throughout his new extension, including the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom.

A New Concept for the Installers

Ian Payne has been in the trade for over 30 years, mostly working with traditional gas central heating and radiators. Infrared heating was a new concept for his team. At first, it seemed unfamiliar—but once installed, the benefits were clear.

It was a learning experience. Every day is a school day.

Why Infrared Heating?

Adrian particularly loved how the panels freed up his walls, creating a clean, open design

No bulky radiators

more freedom and space in each room

Efficient all-electric heating

perfect for removing reliance on oil

Modern comfort

warmth that feels natural, like standing in the sun

Great Results and Future Projects

Both homeowner and installer were impressed not only with the performance of Kiasa’s EKO panels but also with the support received along the way. The experience has opened up new opportunities for Plan and Expand, who are already looking at future projects—including a potentially large-scale infrared heating installation.

Kiasa’s communication and service was great—excellent support and phone calls. Everything went well. I would use Kiasa Infrared Heating again
