All Creatures Great and Small, a South Wales animal charity, installed KIASA 180W infrared panels in their cattery to provide safe, efficient warmth for their cats and kittens. After successfully using the panels in their office, they expanded to the animal areas—mounting the panels on ceilings and connecting them to individual switches and timers. This setup allows them to heat only occupied pens and save on energy costs, especially in winter. The cats instinctively gravitate to the top shelves when the panels are on, clearly enjoying the gentle, sun-like warmth. Over a year on, the panels continue to make a huge difference—keeping rescue animals warm, healthy, and comfortable all year round.

All Creatures Great and Small is a registered animal rescue charity based in South Wales, run by a passionate team dedicated to providing shelter and second chances to dogs, cats, and many other animals. With a mission to rehome as many pets as possible—or provide them a lifelong safe haven—every detail of their care environment matters. That includes the temperature.
We spoke with Ben, a welfare assistant at the centre, who explained how KIASA’s infrared panels have made a big difference to their furry residents.
